The Fabric
We chose a high-gloss satin for its natural luminosity, the way it holds light the same way silk has always been prized to do in Chinese textile tradition. The upper is smooth, lustrous, and graceful, with a small hand-folded satin bow at the toe opening that we added simply because we felt it deserved that finishing touch. Nothing excessive. Just enough to make you smile when you look down.
The Lining
Turn the slipper over and look inside. You'll find a cotton lining printed with a sweeping botanical illustration, peonies, leaves, and garden blossoms drawn in the spirit of classical Chinese ink art. We hide our favourite details on the inside. It is a small reminder that true craftsmanship does not perform for an audience. It simply does the work, whether or not anyone is watching.

The TPR tendon sole was chosen for one reason above all: it lets you move through your home quietly. No shuffling, no noise. Just soft, steady steps. It grips well on indoor floors and holds up over time, because a slipper you love should last.
